Who We Are

The American Restroom Association draws upon a diverse range of expertise to tackle the often-overlooked challenges of public restrooms in the United States. Our multi-disciplinary approach brings together professionals from urban planning, sociology, architecture and design, public health, plumbing, engineering, and accessibility advocacy.

We connect people. By pooling knowledge and perspectives, experts can collaborate to address issues of accessibility, public health, and the need for a restroom infrastructure in the United States.

We explore, discover, and promote best practices, raise awareness of restroom-related issues, and advocate to improve the quality and availability of public restrooms for everyone in America.
