“We want to change the world.”

Laura Jenkins, Vice-President of the ARA

If we meet the fundamental need to supply safe, clean restroom access for all human beings, we can change communities, societies, and the world. The ARA wants America to lead the world in public restroom design and infrastructure. Public restrooms are critical to the global sanitation movement. Safe, accessible facilities are essential for public health, preventing the spread of disease while promoting hygiene.

Inadequate infrastructure disproportionately affects vulnerable populations, hindering progress towards sanitation goals. Investment in well-maintained, inclusive restrooms is vital.

Restrooms serve as the foundation of human dignity and decency in a society.
