Architectural Building Surveyor<\/h3>\n

Moshe Miller<\/h4>\n

While attending Kent State University, one full semester in Junior year focused on documenting an old Vaudeville Theater. The goal was to submit, as a class, existing drawings of the Theater for the National yearly competition established by the Historic American Building Surveys.\u00a0 HABS was created to capture in drawing form, the Architectural design and detail of buildings, for the purpose of education and preserving history, before significant buildings were lost to time and change.\u00a0 \u00a0The theater was very complex, with an interesting flow of space, many curves and angles, a definite challenge to document.\u00a0 I enjoyed the exploration and was thrilled our class submission took Second place nationally.<\/p>\n

I graduated from KSU in 2000 with a BS and BA in Architecture.\u00a0 I worked with an Architecture firm in Ohio between semesters, and with a firm or two in Baltimore.\u00a0 When staff was needed to go out and measure a building before we could implement our design phase, I usually offered to go on site, and continue the Architectural exploration, lit by my HABS semester.\u00a0 Seeing a gap and absence of reliable as-built drawings, I decided to focus on filling this need full time and launched ArchServ LLC in 2003.\u00a0 In 2010 I felt the name Architectural Building Surveys better captured the essence of the service I provide.<\/p> <\/div>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n
