Programs and Services

HALO MD offers families more than information—we offer connection, compassion, and a safe space to heal. Each of our programs is designed to meet families where they are and guide them toward hope and community.

Grief Support Groups

No one should grieve alone. HALO MD provides peer-based grief support groups for parents, siblings, and caregivers who have lost a child. In these safe spaces, families find understanding, share stories, and learn healthy ways to cope with their loss alongside others who truly understand.

Peer Mentorship

We believe in the power of connection. HALO MD is building opportunities for parents and caregivers to walk alongside one another through our volunteer program. More details will be shared as this program grows.

Memorial Events

We believe in honoring children’s lives and giving families opportunities to remember together. HALO MD hosts annual and seasonal memorial events where families can gather, reflect, and celebrate the love they will always carry for their child.

Safe Sleep Education

Prevention is also part of care. Through our partnership with the Maryland Department of Health, HALO MD provides Safe Sleep education to help families protect infants and reduce the risk of sleep-related deaths. This program equips parents, caregivers, and community members with simple, lifesaving practices.

Family Navigation

At the very first call or intake, families receive immediate triage support. HALO MD connects parents and caregivers with both internal services and trusted external resources, ensuring families know where to turn for care.
