About Halo Maryland
Our Story
When a family loses a baby, child, or teenager, the grief is profound, overwhelming, and life-changing. In those first days and weeks, parents and siblings are often left asking: Where do I turn? Who will walk with me?
HALO MD (Healing After Loss Outreach) is a compassionate initiative designed to address those questions and support families throughout their journey of grief and healing. A partnership between Roberta’s House and the Maryland Department of Health, HALO MD is dedicated to helping families who have experienced the devastating loss of a young loved one.
We recognize that grief is not a moment—it’s a lifelong process. HALO MD provides a safe and nurturing space where families can begin to process their pain, connect with others who understand, and find hope in the midst of heartbreak. Our services include:
- Support Groups for parents, siblings, and extended family members
- Trauma-informed Counseling tailored to individual and family needs
- Spiritual Care and Healing Circles to honor and uplift grieving hearts
- Community Outreach and Education to raise awareness and build resilience
HALO MD also offers resources, events, and opportunities for families to share their stories, celebrate the lives of their children, and find strength in community. Whether through remembrance ceremonies like Angelversary, personal testimonials, or volunteer engagement, HALO MD is here to ensure that no family walks this path alone.
Together, we heal. Together, we remember. Together, we grow.
